Frequently asked questions

Dive into our FAQs to discover how to prepare for your visit and what to expect during your time at Ivy + Moss.

What should I wear and how do I prepare?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For body sculpting sessions, treated areas need to be accessible, so a two-piece outfit (sports bra and shorts/underwear) is helpful.

Stay well hydrated 24 hours before your session and avoid heavy meals 1–2 hours prior. Bring water if you’d like. Arriving a few minutes early allows your nervous system to settle.

How many sessions will I need to see results?

Some clients notice changes after their first session. However, visible sculpting and lymphatic results typically require a series.

For best results, 6–10 sessions spaced consistently are recommended. We’ll discuss a plan based on your goals and timeline.

Consistency creates transformation.

Is Wood Therapy safe?

Wood therapy is non-invasive and designed to stimulate circulation and support the lymphatic system. It is generally safe when performed properly.

However, this service may not be suitable if you:

Are pregnant

Have certain cardiovascular or clotting conditions

Have active infections or inflammation

Recently had surgery

If you have medical concerns, please consult your physician before booking. This service is not a substitute for medical care.

Will it hurt?

You may feel firm pressure, especially in areas with fluid retention or tension. Some tenderness can be normal, but sessions should not feel painful.

Pressure is always adjusted to your comfort level. Communication is encouraged.

What should I expect after my session?

You may notice:

Increased urination (lymphatic drainage)

Reduced bloating

Improved circulation

Mild soreness similar to a workout

A sense of lightness or relaxation

Hydration after your session is essential to support results.
